Wow

Much has happened since I last wrote a blog post. Seems that my last piece on this website was written in 2024. 2024 feels like ages ago and yesterday at the same time.

Keeping up with art has been challenging. I miss it, but have been stumped for a long time. Since leaving NJ, getting back to things hasn’t been easy.

I miss having enough light in my work space. I had large windows on both ends of the room I used as a studio, now my room has no windows - for real!

I wonder if I will ever fully adapt to this new house or if the artist in me has left forever. So much has changed in short 6 years.

My income business now is bookkeeping, and I do love that! Investigating, accounting, expenses, number crunching… I love it! But the art keeps nagging.

I still have all my art things. My art table, has become my bookkeeping desk. My art drawers, became my office supplies storage. The only paper I write on is my notebook where I take notes related to my clients’ accounts.

Where and how do I fit in creating art? I recently purchased a new watercolor set, it’s still sitting in the box with no date to come out.

The artist may have left, but I still miss creating. So I pretend I will go back to it tomorrow.

Maybe I will, maybe I won’t.
