Imagination trees - Gifting friends

When I can’t figure out what to paint or draw, I always start with a basic tree design. Below you will see some of the trees I painted as part of a series I started to develop a particular skill.

The backyard tree

Some of these trees came directly from my imagination. Some are from my backyard. And some were inspired by another artist’s work.

When we moved out of New Jersey, I gifted our friends these paintings as a farewell memento. I am grateful to say, I gave away lots of paintings before we left, and still didn’t gift all of our friends. We made so many wonderful friendships through the years living in NJ.
